Horizonte is back with a NEW season on Arizona PBS, channel 8! We kicked off our new series of episodes with an in-depth conversation about dual language programs in Arizona.
Marisol Garcia, the President of the Arizona Education Association joined me to break down how the programs work, why the Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction is suing to get rid of the programs, and what the research says about the impact of the programs on Arizona students.
Big shout out to our incredible producer Mike Sauceda for his hard work in putting together our upcoming slate of compelling topics with fascinating guests.
We also have a new, vibrant set, thanks to the awesome production team at Horizonte.
Horizonte is a weekly series examining issues of particular interest to Arizona’s Hispanic community.
Set your reminder and join us Saturdays at 6pm on Arizona PBS, channel 8, online at AZPBS.ORG, the Arizona PBS YouTube channel or on the PBS app.
