INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Happy International Women’s Day 2026.

What does women’s empowerment mean to you?

I was asked that question, among others, for the newly released Women to Know in Arizona book. In part, I answered: “Choosing connection over competition and encouragement over judgement.”

Early in my television career, that wasn’t always the case. Women were often pitted against one another—sometimes even encouraged to compete for recognition or position. Some of the hardest moments came under a woman boss, which made it even more difficult to understand.

It wasn’t until I was paired with a longtime and deeply admired Los Angeles news anchor to host a talk show that I experienced the real power of women supporting women—and the incredible things that happen when we lift each other up. She was the ultimate mentor and partner.

Recently, a woman I’ve come to admire said something to me that nearly brought me to tears: “You are so good at creating boundaries for yourself.”
It meant more than she probably realized. I’ve worked hard to reach a place where I can confidently protect my mental, physical, and spiritual well-being without feeling selfish.

So on this International Women’s Day 2026, I’m sharing these BTS photos from the Women to Know in Arizona photo shoot and gala. I’m deeply humbled to be included in this book alongside so many exceptional women who believe in lifting and inspiring one another.

I am the confident, resilient woman I am today because of the strong women in my life who encouraged me, challenged me, and advocated for me. You know who you are—and I love you.

And especially to the two most important women in my life:
My mom, the foundation of who I am, and my daughter, the foundation of everything I do.
