Mama’s got a brand new toy!
I’ve been taking guitar lessons since January and just bumped up from the sweet acoustic guitar my hubby bought me – to this beauty: a turquoise electric guitar!!
My Fender amp cable is on the way… so I can start shredding some Def Leppard soon.
My mom was a professional singer in a band for many years, so I grew up around music and loving all kinds of genres. I took piano briefly when I was a kid, but this is the first time I’ve taken up another instrument since.
I’ve realized as I get older (and studies have shown) that it’s just as important to take care of my brain health as it is my physical health – and learning a new instrument is a cool way to do that!
Big shoutout to my instructor John at Scottsdale Music Academy for patiently working with me… he’s already taught me to play Seven Nation Army, Brain Stew, and the intro to Crazy Train.
It’s never too late to start something new!
