GRATITUDE WEDNESDAY

Gratitude Wednesday.

I’m grateful for our first responders, doctors, nurses and other hospital workers who are on the front lines of this crisis, risking their lives to save lives.

I’m grateful for people like my mom, who is using her self-isolation to sew masks for hospital and postal workers.

I’m grateful for people like Lee Perreira, who is running 16 miles in 16 days to raise funds and awareness for charities like Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children because in his words, “These kids don’t stop having cancer right now.”

I’m grateful for the essential workers like the people stocking the shelves at the grocery store to make sure we have food.

I’m grateful for local restaurants and other businesses who have found creative ways to pivot in these challenging times to keep their employees working and able to feed their families (PLEASE SHOP LOCAL)

I’m grateful to my husband who calms my nerves by reminding me that we will get through this together.

I’m grateful that our children are safe and a constant reminder of what is most important in life.

I’m grateful to my friends who provide me texts of comfort and video bursts of levity to keep me smiling.

I’m grateful for my faith, as it will always overcome fear.

“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear”

Psalm 118:6
