“I’ll look back on this and smile because it was life and I decided to live it.”
What an epic bucket list trip to the French Riviera!
I can’t tell you enough how beautiful and exceptional this place is: Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Antibes, Eze Village. Just wow!
The journey was made even more special by experiencing it with my mother.
Since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated with the beauty of St. Tropez and Monte Carlo. So has she. To be able to finally visit this exquisite part of the world – and do it together – has been a pinch me moment for both of us.
Many days and nights we held up our glasses of French Rosé, toasting in awe to the fact that we are actually here.
We had the best time eating french bread and cheese, drinking lots of rose. We got foot massages on the beach in Nice. We laughed at the mishaps along the way (I got stung my a bee on our first day at the beach, we got caught in a wild one-hour rainstorm, and we got stranded in Monte Carlo). We took in the most breathtaking beaches I’ve ever seen (or swam in) in my life.
Thank you to the wonderful people of Côte d’Azur for the amazing hospitality, including our Uber driver Faycâl, who became our friend – and at times – our personal chauffeur.
The older I get, the more perspective I have in how I want to live the remaining years of my life, the things I want to see, the things I want to do, and the people I want to do them with.
My mom is only 71 years young, but I know she feels the same way. So to be able to do this with her, is more than just a gift for her, but a gift for me.
This will be tough to top!
