Another birthday.
Whew. These are coming too quickly!
In my birthday happy place with my handsome husband celebrating another year of life.
I am never perfect but always striving to evolve and be the best version of myself.
With age comes wisdom.
So here goes a few pearls:
*Time is the only currency that truly matters. Use it wisely. Invest it wisely. You can’t get it back.
*Family first. Nothing else will matter at the end of your life. They will be the ones you ask for when you’re taking your last breath.
*Do not settle. In your personal or professional life. When you truly value yourself, the rest will follow.
* Learn to say no. If your time is as valuable as it should be, performative gestures are meaningless. Say yes to only that, which fills your heart.
*stop caring what other people think. If your family and your real friends think the world of you, what more do you need?
*Marry the man who puts you first. In love. In life. In friendship. In Fun. In adventure.
Doug will be the one whose hand I will be holding now.. when we are in a nursing home .. and forever after.
Life is a journey and I am in a constant state of becoming.
